The week of July 28, 2025, City crews and contractors will apply fog seal to all streets that received chip seal treatment last month.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin work on a sanitary sewer main repair in the alley between E 1st St. & E 2nd St. on Court St.

Starting July 14th, the intersection of 12th & Thompson will be closed for demolition and ADA construction. The intersection will be closed during working hours and reopened during the night. Closures are expected to be periodic as the phases of work commence.

On Monday, March 17, 2025, the City of The Dalles Public Works will patch a street cut on Mt. Hood St. between W 10th St. and W 11th St., weather permitting. The street was cut earlier in the month to replace and upgrade a water main.

The City of The Dalles Public Works Department will work on a pavement preservation project on Monday, April 29, 2024, through Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the following location

West 2nd Street between Terminal Ave. and Cherry Heights Road – The westbound lane will be closed for repairs on a section of the roadway. Westbound motorists on Interstate 84, using exit 84, will be flagged to a single lane next to the construction zone. Expect delays.

Crestline Construction Company will begin construction of the River Road Frontage Improvements project beginning April 18th through mid-late June. Intermittent one-lane road closures and flaggers with 5-10 minute delays are to be expected throughout this project.

Ajax Northwest LLC will be installing new Sanitary and Storm Mainlines along West 2nd Street. Northbound 2nd Street will be closed entirely from the intersection of Webber Street to approximately 1500 If past the intersection.

Crestline Construction is under contract with Maul Foster & Alongi (MFA), we will be installing a 36” storm line across Klindt Drive and River Rd. Construction will be periodic from January 2nd, 2024 through January 31st, 2024, and between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. This work will take place on weekdays, Monday to Friday.

The City of The Dalles Public Works will begin installation of a sanitary sewer extension on E. 10th St. between Oregon St. and Quinton St. The purpose of this work is to connect a property to sanitary sewer service. Construction is expected to occur for approximately three days with expected completion by Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Monday March 22, 2021, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin installation of a sanitary sewer main on East Scenic Drive between the entrance to Columbia Gorge Community College and the entrance to Sorosis Park.
