Commissioners make Juneteenth Official, strike deal for building code inspections

Wasco County Commissioners voted to recognize June 19th as Juneteenth in celebration of the federal government’s final execution of the Emancipation Proclamation. Commissioners also cut a deal with Hood River County to continue building code inspections.

Construction full steam ahead in TD Port

Sergio Sedano, 20, and Nick Lauritsen, 26, were putting the forms together for a concrete pour in The Port of The Dalles this morning, Wednesday, Sept. 1. The two framers with RBR Construction are working on mixed-use buildings that will provide commercial space on the first floor and residential living on the second floor.
