Oregon State Marine Board gives Deputies Life Saver Award for rescues in Sept. guide boat swamping

Wahler and Steward responded to the capsized boat in the Columbia River on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2025 with several individuals in the water. Due to the quick action and efforts by these Deputies, along with other agencies, 6 individuals were rescued.
