Prosecutors are pushing for the conviction of a Portland-area man accused in the brutal 2021 home-invasion assault and robbery, while defense attorney says the state’s case hinges on the word of a cooperating accomplice seeking leniency.

Despite strong objections from victims and the DA, a judge granted Tyson Trezona, accused in repeated thefts, release to rehab, calling it harder than jail and warning failure means prison.
