The efforts of farmers, firefighters and air support appear to have contained the Wrentham Fire southeast of The Dalles. “Everything held through the night,” said Cynthia Kortge this morning, June 30 at 10 a.m. who was on the fire. “We were up until 4 a.m. We were able to get it stopped near Hastings Road and Summit Ridge.”
An air attack with Fire Boss pontoon plane and farmers with water tanks and shovels are battling a blaze in the wheatfields east of The Dalles near the intersection of Wrentham Market and Mason Roads.
