TD Councilors will look at community fee disbursements, tax abatements for PowderPure, Code Enforcement, green-lighting a contract for Dog River Pipe Replacements and will also hold an executive session to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection.

The Dalles City Council approved $950,000 for pipe and supplies for the Dog River Pipe replacement slated to start this year. The 3.5-mile pipeline delivering water to the city water treatment plant can leak up to a million gallons per day during peak runoff.

The Dalles City Council is poised to approve near $1 million on purchasing materials for the long-awaited Dog River Pipeline replacement project at their regular meeting set for 5:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14.

The Dalles Dog River Pipeline which is responsible for bringing 54% of The Dalles water supply is in need of repair. The pipeline leaks an estimated 1 million gallons per day during the spring months. The Dalles City Council will consider awarding a contract for engineering services for the Dog River Pipeline in early 2021.
