TD Elks keep Meels on Wheels spinning with $10k donation

The Dalles Elks #303, has generously donated $10,746.93 to The Dalles Meals on Wheels this year of 2021.

This donation was accrued through Elks National Grant, Poker players and other fundraisers held throughout the year, such as working the Wasco and Sherman County fairs along with tips that were given.

Burger night fundraisers were also held two times a month in the Eagles/Elks building. Also, a very generous member of good standing made a donation. We thank everyone that has been involved this year in helping us to be able to give this donation.

Denise or Nise Patton runs Meals on Wheels from the Mid-Columbia Senior Center in The Dalles. The program put out 50,000 meals in 2020 alone, according to their Facebook page. The program also relies on volunteers who drive hot nourishing meals to homebound seniors living in our community. The are always looking for additional drivers. Call 541-298-8333.
