TD Man Held on 46-Count Hood River County Indictment Alleging Sex Crimes against a minor; compelling prostitution
Bryan Matthew McGeeney
The Dalles, Ore., June 8, 2026 — Bryan Matthew McGeeney, 47, of West The Dalles, remains lodged at the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections facility after being arraigned Monday on a 46-count Hood River County indictment alleging sex crimes, drug delivery offenses involving a minor, trafficking in persons and compelling prostitution.
A Hood River County grand jury returned a secret indictment against McGeeney on Friday, June 5. The grand jury issued a "true bill," indicating jurors found sufficient evidence to formally charge him with the alleged crimes. McGeeney was arrested the same day and remained in custody Monday following his arraignment in Hood River County Circuit Court.
According to the indictment, the alleged offenses occurred between Jan. 1 and May 31, 2026, in Hood River County.
The 46 charges include trafficking in persons, compelling prostitution, online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree, multiple counts of first- and third-degree rape, first- and third-degree sodomy, unlawful delivery of cocaine to a minor, unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor and furnishing alcohol to a person under 21.
Court records show the indictment was filed June 5 following grand jury proceedings in Hood River County.
According to a pretrial release interview conducted June 8, McGeeney reported living at an address in the The Dalles. The release report notes he had no apparent history of failure-to-appear warrants, probation violations or contempt arrests and listed a previous arrest from December 2012.
Authorities have released few details about the investigation. Additional court proceedings are expected as the case moves through the judicial process.
McGeeney is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Several of the charges alleged in the indictment rank among Oregon's most serious felony offenses and carry substantial mandatory prison terms upon conviction under the state's Measure 11 sentencing laws. Under Oregon law, first-degree rape carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 100 months, or more than eight years, in prison, and offenders convicted of Measure 11 crimes generally must serve the entire mandatory sentence imposed by the court without reductions for earned time or "good time" credits.
