The Dalles girls basketball team played their 5th game of the season this past Monday, Dec 13th, against a talented and undefeated Dayton squad.

The away game was a tight one all the way down the stretch with the Hawks competing for every single second of the game.

Dayton edged TDHS, with a final score of 39-41.

The Hawks also played West Valley High school in Yakima on Friday, Dec. 10th, in what was a very tough game for them. West Valley had the Hawks’ number on both sides of the ball. The Hawks battled hard and did their best. They eventually lost 49-19.

The TDHS girls team is young but very talented, and they have a strong ethic. They work hard. The future looks bright and they hope to rebound and put a check in the win column this Thursday.

The Hawks play next on Thursday, Dec 16, in an away game against the Sandy Pioneers. The Pioneers are Class 6A and appear to be pretty tough. The Pioneers are 1-2 on the season losing to Summit and Wells. It’ll be a big challenge for the Hawks, but they look to play well defensively and keep communicating well on offense.

The Hawks are 2-3 on the season. Their two wins were at home against Parkrose and Dufur.
