TDHS Volleyball Team Outplays North Marion in all Three Games

The Hawks Volleyball Team.

The Dalles Riverhawks volleyball team had their first match of the season on Thursday, September 2nd. They played the North Marion Huskies and won all three games. A team with only one senior and lots of juniors, the Hawks are young but talented.

The first game was a great one with the Hawks being down at one point and coming back to win the game 27-25. They went on to win the second game and they won the third game 25-20.

It was a big team effort for the Hawks. North Marion was a scrappy team which led to the Hawks having to be scrappy themselves. Kennedy Abbas had a huge number of kills and blocks and Kaylee Fleming started swinging hard with Jeilane Stewart setting every ball that got killed.

The team was really impressive for it being the first match. The team will get better the more the season goes along. It was also a great showing from the community which is fantastic.

The team’s next match is September 8th in La Grande.
