The Work Shop gets warm welcome at grand opening on Nov. 11

A large crowd came out to see how Tom and Lindsey Giamei have transformed their new retail space at their grand opening on Friday, Nov. 11.

The party started at 5 p.m.

The couple and their crew at The Work Shop have given the former Sears store at 116 E. 2nd St., The Dalles a major upgrade featuring many Gorge and The Dalles Items and great products from all over Oregon.

The couple purchased and revamped the spacious store allowing for easy shopping and great displays, including an awesome shuffleboard-turned-sales table for grab-and-go items. An antique truck is on display in the front window.

The space has a creative and fun ambiance.

For the grand opening, The Pines Winery had a tasting, and Little Music City’s Al Hare provided the music on his six-string.

Free cups of charcuterie and chili were also gobbled up by customers.

They open today, Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m.

The grand opening serves as another good sign that young entrepreneurs are making the downtown commercial district a warm, exciting and fun place for shopping, entertainment, food and drinks.

All smiles. Knocking out those stalking stuffers early?

Owner Lindsey Giamei in blue coat works the register as sales were brisk.
