The Dalles, Ore., Nov. 23, 2025 — The Dalles Public Library is rolling out a full lineup of family crafts, teen activities, and holiday-themed programs as November heads into the winter season. Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Hot Cocoa & Winter Fun
3–4 p.m., Teen Room
Teens are invited to warm up with hot cocoa and seasonal crafts. The drop-in program runs every Tuesday through November and December. Food-allergy notice applies.

Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Family Craft Night: Autumn Cookie Decorating
6–7 p.m., Main Library
The library’s monthly craft night lands on the fourth Tuesday and welcomes all ages. This month features hands-on decorating of fall-themed sugar cookies. Accessibility accommodations are available upon request; standard food-allergy disclaimer applies.

Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Ceramic Ornaments with Lise Larsen (Session 1)
3–7 p.m., Meeting Room
Patrons can create handmade ceramic ornaments to keep or gift. This is the first of a two-session workshop; participants must attend both dates. Anyone with an unfinished project from a prior class is encouraged to return on Dec. 16.

Wednesday, Nov. 26 — Take & Make: Hallmark Movie and Craft
All day
Teens and adults can pick up holiday craft kits—including family kits—and pair them with a Hallmark movie checkout to kick off the long Thanksgiving weekend.

Nov. 27–28 — Library Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
All day
The library will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Saturday, Nov. 29 — Cozy Movie & Hot Cocoa
2–4:15 p.m., Meeting Room
Families are invited to settle in for an easygoing afternoon movie with hot chocolate and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
