Traffic Notice: Full Pavement Reconstruction on Chenowith July 24th-27th
The Dalles, OR, July 14, 2023— On Monday July 24, 2023, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin full pavement reconstruction following installation of a sanitary sewer main on Chenowith St. between Cherry Heights Rd. and W. 6 th St.
The purpose of this work is to restore the pavement surface. Construction is expected to occur over four days with expected completion by Thursday July 27, 2023.
Phase 1 full road closure: Chenowith St. between Cherry Heights and W. 8 th Pl.
Driveway access to the construction zone will be closed to vehicles and bicycles.
Access to W. 8 th Pl. via W. 6 th St. only.
Phase 2 full road closure: Chenowith St. between W. 8 th Pl. and W. 6 th St.
Driveway access to the construction zone will be closed to vehicles and bicycles.
Access to W. 8 th Pl. via Cherry Heights Rd. only.
Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The sidewalk will remain open to pedestrian traffic during construction.
