1st Annual Turkey Trot scheduled for, you guessed it, Thanksgiving

The first annual Turkey Trot event in The Dalles will be held on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25th.

There are two different runs at the event. The first is a 5k run/walk or there’s a family fun 1-mile run. The event begins at 8 AM at Lewis and Clark and the 5k walk/run will be along the Riverfront Trail. If you and/or your loved ones aren't up for the full 3.1-mile course, they’re also offering the Family Fun Run. It will be a one-mile, out-and-back course with lots of fun and surprises along the way. It is also a dog-friendly event so bring your 4 legged friends. Strollers are also welcome and encouraged. There’s also a costume contest with prizes! Come in your very best Thanksgiving garb. Prize for best human and dog costume!
