CCCNews is giving a big shout-out to eight volunteers that took four hours out their Saturday, June 5, to assist us in making improvements on Fourth Street.

Members of First Christian Church showed up at 8 a.m. to help us remove shrubs, plant flowers, weed beds and trim hedges. The group regularly finds local projects to help improve the community, and on Saturday, June 5, they landed here at the former Tenneson building at 409 Lincoln Street. The building is our new home for local news and is in need of some TLC.

There is nothing like having 16 extra hands when it comes to yardwork!

Thank you all so much - The Staff at CCCNews - Cole Goodwin, Robbie Denning, Tom Peterson, Peggy Peterson and Xavier Orion Olaez.

Mike Wilson knows how to load it out. He also showed us one of the many purposes for a Sawzall - such as Oregon Grape removal. Did you know it is the state flower? More like state poker. We used to plant these where we did not want people to walk at Oregon State Parks.

Volunteers Kiarra Holt, Ben Feil and Sarah Smith work over a bed on the south side of the building.

Karen Wilson never stopped on the hedge trimmer - she got our Yews in check and rounded them off a touch to soften the building. Karen, I promised to finish them soon!

We also thank Uncle Tony Fasulo second from left who helped us pick up some trees with his 1964 Chevy Sidestep - Old Yeller. Classic Mover, that’s Tony!
