Tadasana Adventures will host a hiking and Yoga Retreat in the Columbia River Gorge on July 18th at 9:30 AM. Tadasana combines yoga philosophy and Vinyasa asana practice with outdoor adventure, as a part of their mission is to help their clients get outside of thier comfort zone, into the wild, and in tune with their inner strength.

“We believe in the transformative power of movement, unplugging, and getting outside. We seek to empower you to live a life untamed,” reads their retreat facebook page.

This retreat is an introduction to rewilding.

Rewilding is the continuous practice of returning to your natural “wild” internal state by connecting to the wild world around you, to your own bodies and your inner self.

“In our day together, you’ll begin to reconnect to the living earth, not as something separate from yourself, but something that you are deeply a part of and is deeply part of you. You’ll also awaken your deep wild knowing finding trust in your inner-self.” reads the retreat invite.

What to Expect if You Take the Journey

Adventurers will meet at the retreat site in the Columbia River Gorge at 9:30 AM.

The trailhead is located in SW Washington approx. 1 hr from the Portland-Metro area. Driving directions will be shared with attendees.

They’ll begin with a grounding practice and sharing circle before embarking on our hike. They’ll take a moderate hike, approx. 2.5 miles, to their lakeside destination. They’ll break for a philosophical discussion, meditation, and rewilding practice where we explore the yogic concept of Svadyaya or self-study. Attendees will learn the keys to listening to your wild self and how to call upon this in your daily life. And they’ll have a brown-bag lunch and some free time to wander around the lake.

”We’ll take our time and complete several nature rituals to bring you even closer to your wildness on the descent. Halfway down, we’ll stop for another philosophical discussion, journaling exercise, and an embodied yoga flow. Back at our base, we’ll finish our day with a closing circle.” said Tadasana Adventures.

The day will wrap up no later than 5 PM (exact timing will depend on the group’s hiking speed).

“You’ll leave feeling more in tune with yourself and the world around you. You’ll feel freer and held, radiant and grounded,” said Tadasana Adventures.
