Wasco County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Blanket/Coat Drive Underway

From North Central Public Health District:

By Mikey Goyette

The Dalles, Ore. Nov. 20, 2024 — The Wasco County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) has launched its annual blanket/coat drive, with three convenient drop-off locations. It will continue collecting items through February.

Help those in need stay warm this winter by donating warm blankets, adult-sized coats, and socks to benefit St. Vincent de Paul and other local agencies. All items must be new, or gently used, washed and in good condition.

The three drop-off locations in The Dalles are:

• North Central Public Health District (NCPHD) 419 E. 7th St. Hours 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• La Michoacana, 1210 Kelly Ave. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

• Grocery Outlet, 1300 W. 6th St. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

Wasco Co. MRC, a volunteer program of NCPHD, has held an annual blanket drive for the last ten years. The ongoing generosity of the community is appreciated!
