White Salmon Residents asked to conserve water during maintenance
The City of White Salmon is asking residents to conserve water for the next few days as they bring the water filtration plant back online after normal filter maintenance.
The demand for water in recent days has been up as high temperatures have prompted residents to water lawns and landscaping, White Salmon Public Works Director Andrew Dirks, today, June 6.
Dirks said the good news is that tests came back from the maintenance and they have the green light to bring the filtration plant and Buck Creek water back into service.
“We’re not going to run out of water. We are just trying to stay ahead so that our reservoirs don’t run low.”
Dirks said the city relies on its wells for water when the water filtration plant is halted for maintenance.
