Death Notice: John Walter Fredrick, The Dalles

John Walter Fredrick, age 64, a resident of The Dalles, OR, passed away on January 28, 2022. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

This past week, the Riverhawks’ athletic family lost Mr. John Fredrick. He began the season working his 50th year running scoreboards for various basketball programs, including the last several years in The Dalles. His impact on football, basketball, baseball, Riverhawks’ Boosters, a member of the media, and as a former school board member will never be forgotten.

Mr. Fredrick was the epitome of the Riverhawk, and he cared deeply about our programs and our student-athletes. Our deepest condolences to the Fredrick Family, along with his loved ones and friends. Rest in Peace Mr. Fredrick.
