Help Wanted: Agriculture Master Gardener & Community Horticulture Coordinator
Oregon State University Extension is seeking an Agriculture Master Gardener & Community Horticulture Coordinator for the Wasco County Extension Office in The Dalles. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month professional faculty position and is benefits-eligible.
The coordinator provides leadership for the Wasco County Master Gardener and Community Horticulture programs, including volunteer recruitment, training, supervision and retention. The position develops and delivers non-credit educational programming in areas such as integrated pest management, noxious weeds, community gardens, wildfire-resilient landscapes and other horticulture needs relevant to Wasco County communities.
This role is based at the OSU Extension Wasco County office on the Columbia Gorge Community College campus and requires travel throughout Wasco County. The position emphasizes inclusive, accessible and equitable outreach and uses modern learning tools such as online and hybrid classes, multimedia and digital communications.
Hours: Full-time
Pay: $62,000–$68,400 annually, depending on experience
