To the editor,
Hello, I'm Joe Stewart. I've lived and worked in Wasco County for the past 54 years and I am a registered Republican. This election my wife, Sharon Stewart, and I will be voting for Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President because we love our country and cherish the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. We want our children and grandchildren to live in a nation of laws with a constitution of "We the People" which affirms that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens.
We believe our President and Vice President should be good examples for all of us and the world who is watching. We need leaders we can trust, whose focus is "US," being positive, joyful, enthusiastic, truthful, law-abiding, dependable, with a track record of caring and serving others, and a real plan for giving us hope for a better life!
If you find yourself being confused to find answers to important questions with many conflicting voices of men or the news media, may we suggest you look to the perfect Light of Truth, the Prince of Peace for answers. He taught us by example and word to be kind, unified, forgiving, and to serve others; to pray for our enemies, avoid strife and contention; to love God and our neighbors!
Sharon and I have made our choice. We believe Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the best Presidential candidates for our country. We will vote for them in November and invite you to join with us!
