Save Barrett Park in HR

The value of an open space that we can enjoy for our health and well being cannot be underestimated. Instead of selling it to the highest bidder who will turn it into private property and use the 31 acre parcel for their own use and profit, the land should be kept for the community, plants, and animals that have an oasis there, a refuge from the highly managed orchards and encroaching development.

Our Country Tis of Thee

Yesterday I was horrified as I watched Trump AND Vance attack Zelensky. As bad as it is, if you haven't seen it, you need to. You need to know what we are living under at this time. I am certain that if the Courts do not uphold the Constitution in the next few weeks, the United States of America will no longer exist as a democracy. We are barely one right now.

Take time to understand plight of immigrants in U.S.

Rather than focusing our efforts on mass arrests criminalizing and deporting individuals who have been here contributing to our communities and paying taxes, or have made perilous journeys in search of better lives often leaving behind families, shouldn’t our time be spent fixing our broken immigration system, deporting criminals who have committed real crimes, reducing red tape and the layers of bureaucracy that slows down and creates roadblocks in the system for present and future contributors to the betterment of our nation?

Vote for Nick Walden Poublon for State Representative

He is the hardest-working candidate I’ve ever encountered. Nick has visited The Dalles many times. He has personally telephoned me several times and knocked on our door at least twice. Recent polling showed him just 3 points behind the incumbent.

Please join me in voting for Nick Walden Poublon

He's not a "politician," he is someone who has dedicated his career to community service. I have met him and listened to him speak several times when he has come to The Dalles. While he lives in a rural community closer to the metro area, the fact that he has been spending so much time on the east side of our district shows me he is committed to serving us.

I'm voting for hope and respect on Nov. 5

I choose hope and respect, not party affiliations. What matters is what works best for the majority of Americans, not the billionaires paying Trump’s campaign costs for the tax cuts only they will get in 2025.

34 for 45

While Donald Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by almost 3 million votes, and lost the popular vote to Joe Biden by 7 million votes, he won a unanimous 12 popular votes of his fellow New Yorkers on 34 felony counts for business and election fraud crimes that allowed him to win the Presidency via the Electoral College in 2016.

Protesting by not voting for Biden? Think Again.

Yes, the U.S. complicity in Israel's genocidal attacks on Gaza is immoral. The bigger picture is that if Trump is elected and his right-wing minions in Congress retain power, our democracy will devolve to an unregulated predatory corporatocracy with theocratic and oligarchic oversight.
