I’m sure most of us are increasingly frustrated by the constant stream of partisan political ads flooding our airways and mailboxes. We want honest, strong, wise representation for ALL Oregonians, not straw man attacks and more rubber stamps for one party rule at the expense of all our citizens, especially young people struggling to stay. We each want to be free to afford to live a good life and create our own destiny in our homeland, for which generations of our ancestors fought.
That’s why it's so refreshing when a candidate comes along who receives strong support from both sides of the aisle and is respected because of the relationships he has made throughout his public service.
In the race for House District 52 Scott Hege is the only candidate who has received bipartisan support for his candidacy. Most recently HR County Commissioner Arthur Babitz has come forward to support Scott. In his endorsement he said: “Scott is one of the least partisan people I know. Salem needs some reps focused on results over party.” It’s more essential than ever to have a state representative who’s focused and will continue working on solutions for the issues that are so important for the people of the Gorge. We can stop getting caught up in the political spin of polarization all around us and learn to talk issues in person again.
So if you want a legislator representing you who is well respected and has a track record of collaboration, vote for Scott Hege. His record of success as a county commissioner is well known and admired by his peers and gorge neighbors. With the Babitz endorsement, Scott now has the support of the majority of the HR County Commission, with Commissioners Weathers and Muenzer already on board. This all speaks volumes to me.
Please join me in voting for Scott Hege for HD 52.
