Tri-County Waste and Recycling program to hold meeting June 14 at 9 a.m.

The Dalles, OR --The Steering Committee of the Tri-County (Hood River, Sherman, and Wasco) Hazardous Waste & Recycling Program will hold a meeting on June 14th, from 9 AM to 11 AM. The meeting can also be accessed virtually upon request.
Representatives from the member agencies of the counties of Wasco, Sherman and Hood River, and the cities of The Dalles, Hood River, Cascade Locks, Mosier, Dufur and Maupin will hold their meeting to discuss the following agenda items: [Approval of Minutes, Progress Reports, Financial Reports, and other miscellaneous items.]
The nine governments signed an intergovernmental agreement in November 2003 to build and operate two permanent household hazardous waste collection facilities in Hood River and The Dalles, and conduct satellite collection events throughout the region. Wasco County is the lead agency. The facilities and events collect hazardous wastes from households; businesses and institutions, which are Very Small Quantity Generators, as well as pesticide wastes from farmers and ranchers. The program’s grand opening took place on July 29th, 2006.

Submit written comments to the City Recorder at j.gray@cityofhoodriver.gov by Monday, May 22, 2023, no later than 12 noon in order to distribute to the City Council in one packet for review by 3pm. All comments will be added to the record.
To address Council during Business for the Audience by Zoom, send an email (name of speaker and topic) to j.gray@cityofhoodriver.gov by Monday, May 22, 2023, no later than 12 noon. Please specify the topic your testimony addresses. Testimony will go in order of requests received. Attendees that have pre-registered will be given a Zoom link. The speaker will be promoted by the City Recorder to address Council. Audio and video to be turned on for 3 minutes to address Council.
At the Mayors discretion, public comments may be received prior to a specific topic of relevance during the meeting. Please observe the time limit of three minutes/person

Budget Hearing Notice: Mosier Fire District Budget Public Hearing set for June 8
A public meeting of the Mosier Fire Board will be held on June 8, 2023, at 6:00 pm at Mosier Senior Center 500 E 2nd Mosier, Oregon.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, as approved by the Mosier Fire Budget Committee. A summary of the budget is presented below.
