2021 TDHS Girls Soccer Preview
Fall sport started to practice for the 2021 season last week. Girls soccer is one of them and it’s a team a lot of us are looking forward to watching. The Hawks had a winning season last year and in the league playoffs, lost in heartbreaking fashion to rival Hood River Valley in 2nd overtime.
With the departure of 6 seniors who were all key players. The team was led by seniors Courtney Hert, Zara Voodre, Kiersten White, and junior Vivian Harrah. With Vivian being the only one returning out of those few players, they’ll have more players stepping up for the team.
Now seniors Vivian Harrah, Emily Adams, Brenda Cabrera, Kendall Weber, Haylie Solberg, Alexia Otero, Maria Eudave, Dannely Dominguez, Yoko, and Alexandra Clack, and Marissa and Monica Rojas-Soto are leaders of a good soccer program with big numbers.
I asked Coach Colby Tonn about his thoughts and or expectations for this year’s soccer season. He went on to say “This is going to be a very competitive division, with many teams returning many key players. We lost some great teammates and players to graduation but return quite a few letter earners. What we are working on is a continuation of what the team started last year, playing aggressively, composed, and together.”
It will be an exciting year for TDHS girls soccer.
