The Dalles High School Varsity Soccer Team is in the hunt for a playoff berth as the teaming is starting to jell and getting outstanding play from Freshman phenom Hulises Najera. The team needs to beat Redmond on Tuesday, Oct. 26, to punch their ticket for the playoffs.
The Dalles Riverhawks soccer team played the Hood River Valley Eagles yesterday in The Dalles. The Hawks haven’t beaten HRV in 13 seasons and the Hawks were ready to beat that streak. The last time these two teams played HRV beat the Hawks in double overtime in the IMC playoffs. The Hawks were out for revenge and succeeded at getting it winning 2-1.
Every Fall sport started practice for the 2021 season last week. Girls soccer is one of them and it’s a team a lot of us are looking forward to watching. The Hawks had a winning season last year and in the league playoffs, lost in heartbreaking fashion to rival Hood River Valley in 2nd overtime.
