6-Year-old TD Kart Racer coming off 14 win season; eyes Nationals in 2025

The Dalles, Ore., Jan. 17, 2025 — Liam Kramer, 6, and his dad Alan of The Dalles, join us in studio to tell us about the recently completed 2024 kart racing season and the outlook for 2025.

Liam was on a tear in 2024, capturing the checkered flag in 14 of 29 and races with six runner-ups. He is now looking forward to tough competition at the North American Grand Nationals later this year

What do you like about racing, Liam?

“I like my car,” he said. “I like how it goes really fast.”

Liam was born in Hood River in November 2018 and started kart racing at the age of 3. He began racing karts competitively at the age of five in 2024 and currently competes in the Kid Kart Division for ages 5 to 8.

“This year, we aim to improve his driving skills and knowledge by entering larger events across the Pacific Northwest, California, and Indiana. Notably, from September 24-28th, Liam will participate in his first National Race at the Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals, held at New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana,” his Dad, Alan said.
