TD's Holiday Hour of Power
Locals were out in force this morning as blue sky pushed back the melancholy misting of snow that whitewashed the past two days. People were taking advantage of President’s Day between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. this morning in The Dalles as a host of chores and fun transportation opportunities were available to those willing to seek a little adventure.
Aiden Marick cranked up the snowblower this morning, Monday, Feb. 15. He spent an hour plowing his grandparent’s driveway and the sidewalks for neighbors to the east and west of his home on 19th Street. The TD High School Senior seemed to enjoy the power of shooting snow several feet with a backdrop of blue sunshine.
This bicyclist near Cascade Eye was cheering as her escapades took her down Cherry Heights Road on her mountain bike. She seemed to have no problem navigating the snow on her wide tires.
Andy CarMicheal, 43, of The Dalles opted for the cross country skis instead of his boots on Riverfront Trail.
