The Dalles, Ore., May 29, 2025 — A 30-year-old Arizona woman was cited for disorderly conduct Tuesday evening after reportedly walking into traffic on Interstate 84 near The Dalles.

Oregon State Police responded around 6:15 p.m. on May 27 after receiving multiple reports of a woman lying in the westbound lanes near milepost 80. Witnesses said the woman had exited a semi-truck before stepping into the roadway.

Troopers later stopped the truck near milepost 66 and interviewed both occupants. According to police, the passenger, identified as Jamie Leanne Lawrie of Green Valley, Arizona, told officers she had been arguing with the driver and stepped into traffic “to prove a point.”

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Anthony Mikkel Abdullah, also of Green Valley, was not charged.
