The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 21, 2025 — The Portland Trail Blazers are bringing Rip City to the Gorge next month as part of their 11th annual Rip City Rally, with a community celebration scheduled in The Dalles on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The Dalles is one of four stops on this year’s tour through Northern and Eastern Oregon, which aims to strengthen the team’s connection with fans statewide. The event is presented in partnership with Moda Health and includes school visits, giveaways, entertainment, and a public fair.

The day's festivities will culminate in a free community fair at Riverfront Park from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring appearances by Trail Blazers mascots Blaze the Trail Cat and Douglas Fur, the BlazerDancers, and other team personalities. Fans can expect games, prizes, and chances to win signed memorabilia. Moda Health and Delta Dental members who present their membership cards will receive a special gift.

Earlier in the day, team and Moda Health representatives will visit local schools to host assemblies, career panels, and P.E. activities designed to encourage youth wellness and inspire future careers.

Each Rip City Rally stop includes a ceremonial ribbon-cutting with city officials and a donation to a local nonprofit. In The Dalles, the Trail Blazers and Moda Health will recognize YouthThink, a community organization dedicated to supporting local youth through education and prevention programs.

The Dalles is the third stop on the weeklong rally, which also visits Ontario, Pendleton, and Gresham. In total, the rally will cover 756 miles across Oregon.
