Public Notice for Hostetler & W 10th St for School
From Crestline Construction:
By Jeff Pettenger
The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 21, 2025 — With the start of school right around the corner, we are racing to allow traffic to pass through W 10th St for access. Paving is scheduled for the main reconstructed area between Hostetler and Floral on September 2nd; on this day, the street will remain closed, allowing for paving following the attached traffic control plan.
The new sidewalk will be open for pedestrians, allowing kids to walk to school. Given that the project spans longer than these two streets, the new ADAs elsewhere will remain graveled, with final paving happening during the weekend.
The last part of the project will be a slurry seal from Chenowith Loop to Snipes, which will require the full length of the project to be closed while the tar dries, which happens on a weekend as well.
Attached are the traffic control plans for reference.
Crestline Construction recommends motorists use alternate routes, obey site traffic control, and be aware of the increased construction equipment and activity throughout the duration of the project. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we construct these City of The Dalles Improvements.
