Braving the Cold: Trever J Phillips Construction Persists Through Harsh Winter in The Dalles

By Joshuah Albert

The Dalles, Ore., Jan. 17, 2024 — Amidst a biting cold snap in The Dalles, the temperature plummeted to a frigid 9 degrees Fahrenheit on January 16th. While most would shun the outdoors in such freezing conditions, Trever Phillips, 40, owner of Trever J Phillips Construction, and his dedicated team were undeterred, continuing their work on a residence on Cherry Heights Road despite the chill.

CCCNews seized an opportunity to speak with Phillips during a brief pause in their labor. His take on the harsh weather was candid: “I absolutely hate it. Working in the snow is one thing, but this cold is on another level. However, we're close to wrapping up, and soon we'll be back to working in the warmth of a heater.'“

He then proudly introduced us to his crew, adding, 'It’s my team that makes it all bearable. Their camaraderie and skill turn even the toughest days into something rewarding.”

The conversation was brief as the crew, undaunted by the snow beginning to flurry, promptly returned to their tasks, embodying resilience in the face of winter's harsh embrace.
