Fire at Deschutes State Park

The Dalles, OR, July 13, 2023 10:12 p.m. — Sherman County Sheriff’s office posted on their facebook that a fire caused by a camp stove that tipped up a few miles south of the Deschutes State Park. It is burning north towards the park, which has been evacuated. Deschutes State Park is at a level 3 (Go Now) evacuation.

“Fire crews are are staging in the area, preparing to fight it once it is accessible,” read their updated facebook post.

Deschutes State Park is at a level 3 (Go Now) evacuation. More information will be shared as soon as possible.
