Brush Fire Near Arlington Narrows I-84 Westbound Traffic

Arlington, Ore., June 19, 2026 — An active brush fire along Interstate 84 near milepost 129 in Blalock Canyon, about 8 miles west of Arlington, is affecting traffic in both directions Friday morning.

As of 10:48 a.m., all eastbound lanes have reopened. Westbound traffic remains reduced to a single lane while fire crews continue to respond to the incident.

Fire resources have been dispatched to the scene. Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and use caution as emergency personnel work alongside the freeway.

No information on the size of the fire, containment status or potential threats to structures was immediately available.
