CGPA Announces 30 Days of Gay Pride Events in the Gorge

By Cole Goodwin

Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance has announced that they’ll be kicking off LGBTQIA2S+ Pride Month 2023 with 30 days of Gay Pride events throughout the Columbia River Gorge.

The 30 Day long celebration features LGBTQ+ centered events, panels, galas, dance parties, vigils, and more in The Dalles, Mosier, Hood River, and Bingen.

Events begin May 30th with a drive-in movie showing of But I’m a Cheerleader at Sunshine Mill Winery in The Dalles and end June 30th, with free Sexually Transmitted Infections testing at North Central Public Health.

The celebration has been made possible through an outpouring of community support and through the efforts of Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance, the CGPA’s LGBTQIA2S+ Youth Leadership Council, The Next Door, adult and youth volunteers, local businesses, local libraries, and many other partner organizations and sponsors.
