The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 27, 2026 — Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation (CCHC) is accepting applications for a waiting list for home repair assistance in Klickitat and Skamania counties after receiving a grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce.

The funding, awarded through the state's Home Repair Grant Program, will help low-income rural households make necessary repairs to address health, safety, and structural durability concerns.

To qualify, households must earn no more than 80% of the area median income, and their homes must require repairs related to safety or durability. Single-family residential structures may be eligible for assistance.

The program prioritizes residents age 60 and older, people with disabilities, veterans and families with children age 5 or younger.

CCHC offers home rehabilitation programs in both counties, providing assistance to eligible households seeking to maintain safe and livable housing.

Funding through the new grant is limited, and interested residents are encouraged to join the program's waiting list.

For more information or to request placement on the waiting list, visit the Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation home repair program webpage, email info@columbiacascadehousingcorp.org or call 541-296-5462.
