Demolition of Tony's has started, Crew Members Removing Toxic Materials

The Dalles, Or., Aug. 1, 2023 - The demolition of Tony’s Town and Country is now underway as crew members hang tarps over the aged building. The reason for the tarp is that this building is so old, that it holds many toxic materials that have been out of public use for decades.

There shouldn’t be any safety concerns but it sidewalks are being closed temporarily as work is being done. It is likely the demolition crews will be working on the clean-up for several weeks before the building finally comes down.
