Demolition of Tony's has started, Crew Members Removing Toxic Materials
The demolition of Tony’s Town and Country is now underway as crew members hang tarps over the aged building.
An era has come to an end; Demolition of Tony's starts this month
Demolition is expected to start shortly at the Tony’s Town and County building in downtown The Dalles this month. Crews have already set up fencing around the project site in the 400 block of E, 2nd Street as Konell Construction of Sandy, Ore., is set to get the project underway. The building’s footprint is approximately 11,000 square feet.
Clean up on 6th Street in TD
Mark Connelly, 60, of Portland operates a backhoe while crews break up a cinderblock building, removing metal from the block in The Dalles on Jan. 24. The demolition of the burned-out structure is at 1002, 1004 and 1006, W. 6th Street. It is across the street from Habitat for Humanities ReStore.
