Double Homicide in Goldendale, WA

Double Homicide
Goldendale, WA, March 31, 2024 — On the morning of March 29, 2024, Klickitat County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Austin Road outside Goldendale.
Upon arrival, they discovered that a 57-year-old male and 44-year-old female were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Their identities are being withheld at this time pending notification of their family members.
The suspect, 56-year-old David Joseph Lavine was taken into custody on scene without incident. He is currently lodged at the Klickitat County Jail on two counts of Murder in the Second Degree.
There is no threat to the public, and the scene is still actively under investigation. Citizens are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
