Election Day: It's now or never; Get 'em in before 8 p.m.

Dean Dollarhide with The Dalles Rotary drops a ballot in the box for a driver who stopped by the Wasco County Courthouse this morning, Nov. 8. It’s election day. Get those ballots dropped by 8 p.m.

By Tom Peterson

As of Monday, Oct. 7, Wasco and Hood River counties ballot returns were off around 10 percent compared to the last midterm election of 2018.

But there is still time. You have until 8 p.m. to get your ballots dropped off today, Tuesday, Nov. 8. And all ballot boxes in Oregon are open until 8 p.m. regardless of weather conditions.

Bill Lennox collects a ballot in front of the Wasco County Courthouse this morning, Nov. 8. He and Dollarhide had the morning shift as The Dalles Rotary volunteers to help out with ballot collection.
