Attention writers in the Columbia River Gorge!
As you probably already know, November is National Novel Writing Month
All across the nation writers are working hard to write 50,000 words of a novel in just 30 days. (How are those word counts coming along? Send us an email letting us know!)

But did you know that you can pick up a NaNoWriMo take and make kit full of writer's goodies at The Dalles Wasco County Library? (While supplies last.)

Or that there is a writing contest for 12-19 year olds happening at the White Salmon Library?

Well now you do!

Check out what’s going on for aspiring and accomplished writers in the Gorge this month!

Imagined Ink Teen Writing Contest

Are you a creative tween or teen with a passion for writing and a desire to win a fantastic prize? Start getting your entries ready for this year’s Imagined Ink Teen Writing Contest

The contest challenges teens ages 12-19 to share their short stories, poems, essays, and comics. These pieces can be on any topic but must be less than 1,000 words.

Entries will be read by a panel of judges, with prizes awarded in several categories.

A collection of the top works will also be published in the 2022 Imagined Ink Collection eBook to be available to all library patrons through FVRLibraries’ OverDrive service.

The deadline for online entries is November 15, 2022.
