Firefighter pushing up donations

The Dalles, Ore., Feb. 28, 2025 — Eddie the Firighter was muscling people on Friday afternoon on Third Street in The Dalles.

He was taking donations for leukemia and lymphoma, but he was also willing to work for it.

For every dollar donated he did a push up right there on the sidewalk as people drove by.

He was definitely getting a work out. Eddie Madrigal is a firefighter with Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue.
