Emergency responders from North Gilliam Rural Fire Protection District, North Gilliam Medic Ambulance, the Gilliam County Sheriff's Office, and the Oregon State Police responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders determined the incident involved a single vehicle that had collided with a section of guardrail, resulting in injuries to all five occupants inside the vehicle.

Due to the number of patients, additional resources were requested from Boardman Fire Rescue District, Life Flight Network, Oregon Department of Transportation, and J&S Towing out of Boardman.

Interstate 84 was temporarily closed for approximately 25 minutes while emergency personnel safely treated and transported the injured. All five occupants were transported to local area hospitals for further medical care. We are thankful to report that all occupants are expected to make a full recovery.
