Flyover brings hope to community, healthcare workers
A group of about 60 gathered near the labyrinth at Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles on Friday morning at 9 a.m. to catch a glimpse of the Oregon Air National Guard as they flew over the hospital.
It was a salute to Oregonians on the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic. It boosted morale for locals during a time of severe health and economic impacts.
The tribute was conducted by Oregon’s 173rd Fighter Wing, based in Klamath Falls and the 142nd Wing, based in Portland.
