John Dombroski with Columbia Gorge Food Bank uses a careful eye and a forklift to move hundreds of pounds of butter this morning, Thursday, Oct. 15. The operational specialist helps organize the pallets of food when a delivery truck arrives on Thursday from the Oregon Food Bank, which distributes from its 100,000 square-foot warehouse in Portland. Columbia Gorge Food Bank works with partner agencies, such as St. Vincent de Paul, that then distribute the food to local residents. It reaches partners in Wasco, Sherman, and Hood River counties.
