“We spend the season going to the toughest tournaments that we can find in the Northwest all in preparation for February,” said Head Coach Chris Williams. “ Once February hits, it's like starting over; records don't mean anything, and it all depends on how you perform over the next 3 competitions - Districts, Regionals and State.”

“Our goal isn't to just make it to state, we want to be at the top. You don't get what you deserve, you get what you earn." Williams said. “This season has been very exciting for the team and they have had many victories to help keep them motivated, throughout their tough workouts they have not given up in the slightest.”

The GHS Wrestling team has had much support from their classmates and teachers, they can often be heard cheering the team on as they wrestle their opponents.

On Thursday, January 25th, they attended the EWAC West League Tournament, which was hosted by Granger High School, and had 12 team members score in the top five, and 9 score first in their individual brackets.
