Photo Gallery: Harry Potter Day at the Library Draws Fans of All Ages

The Dalles, OR July 31, 2023– The Dalles Wasco County Library will celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday with crafts and games from 3-6 p.m. and Harry Potter Trivia from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event included a spellbook painting craft, house necklace making, a seek-and-find scavenger hunt through the Room of Requirement, a Dobby sock toss, wizards chess, talking sorting hat, and a photo booth featuring an invisibility cloak! Attendees will have a chance to win Harry Potter lego sets, a Snitch backpack and can also enjoy free Bertie Bots Every Flavored Beans, Cauldron cakes and more from the trolley!
The event was made possible by the hard work of staff and four teen volunteers who helped at the event.
One young fan had high praise for the event, noting that the cardboard cut out of Snape was super realistic “At first I thought it was the real Snape and I almost jumped out the window!,” he said.
