Holiday Open House Features History of Beer in Hood River County, Live Music, Refreshments
The History Museum of Hood River County is thrilled to invite the community once again to its free annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 4th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
The community is invited to come check out their current featured exhibit “Cheers! From Teetotalers to Tasting Rooms”, which explores the fascinating history of beer in Hood River County. The exhibit is the third installment of an exhibit series exploring the history of spirits, wine, and beer in Hood River County.
Other exhibits available for viewing at the museum include: Indigenous Culture, Pioneer Settlers, Timber and Logging, Agriculture, Recreation, the Hood River Japanese American Story, and Luhr Jensen & Sons: Where Legends Were Made.
The event will also include performances by Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association’s Holiday Brass Band at 1:15 p.m. and Harmony of the Gorge Chorus at 2:00 p.m.
Admission and refreshments will be free although the museum will be accepting donations.

Proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 48 hours prior to event is required for all attendees, including children*. Masks are required, as well as physical distancing. The museum thanks you for your understanding and helping to keep our community safe.
*Children who are ineligible to receive the vaccine based on their age are required to show proof of a negative Covid test within 48 hours prior to the event; a rapid test such as BinaxNOW is acceptable.
