Hood River Bridge Closures Continue As Engineers Troubleshoot Lift Malfunction

Hood River, Ore., February, 7, 2024 — The Port of Hood River’s engineering team is continuing to troubleshoot the lift failure that occurred in December, resulting in some temporary closures.
A series of 15-minute lifts will be taking place Wednesday, Feb. 7th. The first set of lifts will occur between 9-10 a.m. and the second set of lifts will occur between 2-3 p.m.
On Thursday, Feb. 8th, a full 30-minute lift will take place at 5am and another full lift will take place between 11 a.m.-noon.
Additional lifts may be necessary or adjustments to the schedule required while the engineering team is in Hood River. During the lift operations, the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic.

INGENIEROS CONTINÚAN SOLUCIONANDO LA FALLA DEL ASCENSOR EN DICIEMBRE
El equipo de ingeniería del Puerto estará solucionando la falla del ascensor ocurrida el pasado diciembre esta semana.
Se llevará a cabo una serie de ascensos de 15 minutos el miércoles 7 de febrero. El primer conjunto de ascensos ocurrirá entre las 9-10 a.m. y el segundo conjunto de ascensos ocurrirá entre las 2-3 p.m. El jueves 8 de febrero, se llevará a cabo un ascenso completo de 30 minutos a las 5 a.m. y otro ascenso completo tendrá lugar entre las 11 a.m. y el mediodía.
Puede ser necesario realizar ascensos adicionales o ajustes al horario mientras el equipo de ingeniería esté en Hood River. Durante las operaciones de elevación, el Puente Interestatal Hood River-White Salmon estará cerrado al tráfico vehicular.
