Following an extensive search process, the City of Hood River has selected Michael (Josh) Rogers as its new Fire Chief. The search was initiated when Chief Leonard Damian announced his retirement after more than nine years with the City of Hood River Fire Department.

Teen Arrested, Second Suspect Wanted in Jan. 17 Hood River Homicide Investigation
A 16-year-old Hood River juvenile has been arrested as police are now searching for 30-year-old Noel Hernandez in connection with a Hood River homicide. Authorities warn the public not to approach him and urge anyone with information to contact investigators immediately.

A Mount Hood rescue unfolded Saturday after a climber fell into the White River Glacier, injuring one person and prompting authorities to warn that warm temperatures and unstable snow are increasing mountain hazards.
